Turning Your Talent into a Work at Home Business

If only you could work at home doing something you really loved and were naturally good at!
Can you turn your talent into a successful work at home business? Here's a quick quiz you can take to find out.
1. Will anyone pay you to provide this service or create this product? If you don't have a market, you don't have a viable business.
2. Can you make a reasonable income providing this product or service? In other words, will people pay you enough to make your time worthwhile? If you spend 10 hours creating a product, but can only sell it for $30, you're making $3 an hour - not a reasonable income.
3. Is this something you will enjoy doing as a job? If you enjoy it because you can do it on your own terms, how will you feel when you have to face deadlines or unhappy customers?

4. Is this the same activity you will use to unwind at the end of a stressful workday? This is something I really struggle with in my writing business. Writing for clients is my job, but writing for myself is how I relax. Sometimes after a busy workday, I don't want to write another word, so I miss out on something special that I like to do just for my own enjoyment.
If you answered "yes" to questions one to three, and "no" to question four, there's a good chance your talent could be turned into a profitable business.
But even if not, that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider turning your talent into a work at home business. You may just need to exercise some creativity to transform your abilities into a reliable revenue stream.
