Where Women Walked

The newly released book Where Women Walked, by Jean Blackmer and Laura Greiner, is a spiritually uplifting book. It is a collection of stories from twenty-eight fully mature women, about their trials and their relationships with God. As Titus 2:3-5 says, "Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored."
In addition to their stories, there are scriptural references and quotes from other women who were interviewed for the book. Also, at the end of each chapter is a summary, which includes questions and suggestions, and it presents an opportunity for individual reflection or group discussion. The topics these authors chose to include in their book are adversity, marriage, motherhood, singleness, faith, finances, depression, abuse and compassion.
This book is very easy to read and I am thankful for the ladies who decided to share a bit of their lives with the rest of the world. While reading Where Women Walked, you will most likely shed both sad and joyful tears, so keep a box of tissues handy!
