What If I Have a C-Section
Reviewed by Rachel
What If I Have a C-Section is an important addition to all expectant moms' pregnancy and birth book collection. It is the 101 on C- sections, and masterfully pulled together at that.
"In 2002, 261 out of every 1,000 babies born in the United States were delivered by C-section."
This book will prepare you for the possibility of surgery, and give you the knowledge to handle it and feel more in control and more knowledgeable of the process of your birth experience, whether it ends up vaginal or not.
Most importantly, in my opinion, What If I Have a C-Section will help you start a dialogue with your doctor. If the C-section card does come up at the last minute, having had the preparation and having already discussed the possibility with your doctor will certainly save you some panic and confusion.
What If I Have a C-Section also goes into the debate about moms choosing to have a C-section from the get go when there is no obvious medial reason for it, VBAC, and the recovery process.
