Violette Between by Alison Strobel
Reviewed by Rachel
Alison Strobel's second novel is about a young widow stuck between her past and present loves, as she lay in a coma, dangling between life and death.
While Violette was developing serious feelings for a fellow widower named Christian, she still mourns her husband Saul, who died tragically not long ago. There are two loves stories in Violette Between, as both her past with Saul and the story of her and Christian unfold throughout the novel.
Violette is also a fairly new Christian, and her walk toward Christ is challenged throughout the years, especially after she loses Saul.
In the end Violette must either let go of Saul or lose a chance with Christian, if she even comes out of her coma in the first place. Which love will she choose? Violette Between is a sure winner, even if you're hardly a romance novel enthusiast.
