One of the newest additions to the Big Idea and Veggie Tales(TM) collection is the Veggie Bible Dictionary. Kids, young and old, love Veggie Tales(TM). Now they have a fun dictionary to look up the meaning of unfamiliar words they find in the bible. Along with biblical words, there are also some words from the Veggie Tales(TM) videos thrown in just to make it a bit more interesting, such as "cucumber" and "polka".
The dictionary is written in an easy to read font and there are bright colorful pictures to look at too! Just what you would expect from the Big Idea family. There is an easy to use pronunciation guide for each word, based on phonetics instead of the symbols you find in standard dictionaries. Additionally, following the definition of some words is a sentence that either uses that word in context or just simply adds to the entertainment value of the book. These sentences are meant to be commentaries from the two most well known Veggie Tales characters, Bob and Larry.
I can envision kids reading their bibles more, just so they can find a word they are unfamiliar with and look it up in their Veggie Bible Dictionary!
