PraiseBaby CD & DVD

The PraiseBaby: Praises and Smiles DVD/Video from Big House Kids (Flicker Records) is much like other early childhood learning videos, with shapes and baby faces, animals, 1-2-3's and A-B-C's. Research has shown the value these videos have in early childhood development. This is the first time I have ever seen a spiritual twist on this brand of "edu-tainment".

From the PraiseBabyCollection.com web site, "For infants and toddlers there is virtually no difference between core verbal language and song. Humming and other non-word specific sounds (as well as word to specific rhythm or melody) are as important to the language development of an infant as the spoken word. Repetition also helps their word recognition as they hear verses over and over to simple tunes."

The PraiseBaby collection stands out because of the music behind it and the spirit within it. While the PraiseBaby: Praises and Smiles DVD/Video has a very select audience of 0-3, you'll love to listen along while your baby watches and plays along. You can finally give your children the gift of spirit nurturing worship music along with an age appropriate multisensory learning video.

The CD is enjoyable for all ages. When I first listened to the PraiseBaby CD my eyes watered up at the sincere praise in the singers' voices. Since that first listen I have had it playing almost every day. My husband enjoys it too. The music is calming and heart-warming, sung by an adult with the accompaniment of a group of children. (Be sure to visit their web site, http://praisebabycollection.com/, to hear samples.)

If you don't have a baby to get the DVD for, I'd still recommend the PraiseBaby CD as a staple for all Christian families for car ride sing alongs, to lift the mood around the house, and for all to take on a spirit of worship. It will end up being a family favorite. With classics like "Lord I lift your name on high." and "You are so good to me", you'll want to say "Amen" after listening to this music. Hmmm, I think I'll go put it on right now.
