Mom PhD, by Teresa Bell Kindred

As I began to read Mom PhD, I found myself smiling as I read how I would receive my Positive Home Director degree. That is, after completing the six-step course encompassing most of this book. Notably, the instructor for this course is none other than the Proverbs 31 woman. Being the Word of God, I don't think we could have a better instructor.
Being the leader or co-leader of our children and home, the author recommends starting off our tenure, with our new title, by creating a plan and vision statement for our families. Helpful suggestions and guidelines are offered to aid the reader in creating it. Additionally, before starting this course, six traits of the Proverbs 31 woman are discussed. While reading this Scripture, it is evident she has character, is compassionate, competent, a communicator, charismatic, and God-centered.
The remaining chapters, each one a segment of the six-step course, focus on each of these traits. Biblical and contemporary stories of women are told, giving examples of women who possess each trait and some who don't. Scriptural references abound throughout the book, which gives credibility. Finally, each chapter ends with a group of questions, causing the reader to reflect on what was read and how it applies to her life.
