Mom... and Loving It! by Laurie Lovejoy Hilliard and Sharon Lovejoy Autry

Reviewed by Rachel Lower

Mom "and going crazy, losing my mind," are the words I often hear from moms everywhere. It's clear that moms are overworked, and, on top of that, bombarded with the "Supermom" demands of society. Not many people have the ultra A-type personality and energy level to keep up with "the Joneses," whom by the way, morph every year to even more unattainable heights.

People's expectations are so high, it's no wonder moms everywhere are missing out on the contentment and peace that can theirs by the grace of God. Wouldn't it be nice to associate the words "contentment" and "peace" with being a mom, instead of "frantic, frazzled, and falling over exhausted"?

"Mom... and Loving It!" contains 15 packed studies, covering topics like guilt, anger, and discontentment. Each chapter contains Bible references and life lessons, thoughtful questions, provoking exercises, and a prayer.

I can say with certainty that any mom who reads "Mom... and Loving It!" will get something out of it, probably a whole lot! It's also a great book to share with other moms, perhaps read together for a group study.
