Like Dandelion Dust by Karen Kingsbury

Reviewed by Amy B

This was my first time reading a Karen Kingsbury novel. I know, I know, sad but true. I have to say, as I'm guessing it is the same with her other novels, this one was definitely difficult to put down.

Like Dandelion Dust is the story of Joey Campbell and the parents who love him more than life itself. The reader can see how frightened, devastated and desperate adoptive parents would be if several years later the biological parents enter back into the scene, wanting to reunite their natural family.

How much worse would it be if the adoptive parents aren't living a very safe, nurturing, or loving lifestyle? What would you do? Would you go through the legal motions and hope for the best? Or would you take the law into your own hands and do what you know is best for your child? As Christians we are instructed to obey the laws of the government, unless it conflicts with what God has asked of us.

Like Dandelion Dust will make you smile, cry, feel anger, and feel love. You will feel the peace and joy of a loving family and the fear and panic of one about to be torn apart. Get a glass of ice tea and a comfortable chair and settle in for a well told, gripping story.
