Lean Mom, Fit Family
Reviewed by Amy B
We all know that a healthy mom typically means a healthy family. Generally, the mom buys and prepares the food and plans the activities for the family. Lean Mom, Fit Family was written to moms and is based on that assumption, with a special section written just for them during each week of the program. A lot of useful information about exercise and healthy eating is packed into this book.
There are seven principles of family fitness and each one is covered before you get to the six week plan. The topics covered in this section are movement, portion size, protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates, good fats, calories, and your choice in beverages. After that, instructions are given on how to get your family started, by assessing everyone's current fitness level, making goals and preparing to keep track of what you eat and how you move.
Lean Mom, Fit Family would be especially helpful to moms who need the extra push. For six weeks you have a menu and exercise schedule already made up. All you have to do is follow it.
