Hot Flashes & Cold Cream, by Diann Hunt

Reviewed by Amy B

Although any woman would enjoy this story, I think a more mature woman will have a greater appreciation for the humor and life situations presented in "Hot Flashes & Cold Cream." In this story, Maggie Hayden shares a bit of her life with the reader as she copes with a lot of major changes during her middle age years.

Both her kids are grown and have left home, while her husband's job is keeping him busier then ever. Add to the mix his new young and very attractive assistant and Maggie's menopausal hormone roller coaster ride, there is tremendous potential to be all out of whack. But that isn't all Maggie faces. She also has to deal with a friend who has caused her concern, a troubled teen and a dog with bladder problems.

I found myself chuckling throughout "Hot Flashes & Cold Cream." Currently approaching that time in my life, I can see how easy it would be to get wrapped up in similar situations. It is an easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable story.
