Dating: Guidelines from the Bible by Scott Kirby

Some of you are single moms. Some of you are watching your babies turn into young adults. All of the aforementioned people likely have at least one thing in common. They are going to be dealing with the `dating issue' soon, if they aren't in the midst of it already.
Dating: Guidelines from the Bible by Scott Kirby is a biblically inspired guide for young men and women, and single adults, on dating conduct and what God expects of us and wants for us.
Dating: Guidelines from the Bible is a classic. In fact, the edition I have was printed in 1979. It belonged to my sister first, and was passed down to me. You would think that perhaps a book from the 70's would be somewhat out of date, but it is still right on the money. Proof that when the Bible is your manual for life, the instructions never become outdated! Scott Kirby outlines the Biblical principals related to dating, bearing in mind that most marriages in Biblical times were arranged by the parents. Dating: Guidelines from the Bible examines love verses infatuation, and exemplifies right conduct.
For the preteen or teen (or single adult), this book can help them set the goal to save their virginity for marriage, flee temptation and date only for the `right reasons'. It also delves into issues of self-confidence, break ups, and finding the right marriage partner.
Upon reading, and re-reading, it can renew a young man or woman's determination to stay pure and save sex for their wedding night. I would recommend Dating: Guidelines from the Bible to any mom out there who wants to help solidify their young adult's personal belief in waiting for marriage.
