Do You Have Your Hands Full?

As we go about our daily routine we tend to take on so much that the feeling can be overwhelming, right? People in passing have even commented to me (on more than one occasion) “wow, you’ve got your hands full.” Is that really what it looks like?

After hearing this a few (hundred) times, I started to think about "my hands" and the many things I do with them to care for my family, etc. More importantly I use them to pray to my Lord, with these same pair of hands I praise God for the blessings in life. I use these same hands to serve God as he calls me to serve.

God's hands are never too full for us. Sometimes when I feel like I am overwhelmed and perhaps my hands "are TOO full" I realize I am not praising God through that. God's word tells us:

"I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands." Psalm 63:4

"And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:16

"When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them." Luke 24:50

God blesses us with His hands and we are blessed to have two hands to serve Him in the many ways we all do. Now, when we feel like we have our “hands full” Simply praise God for the two hands he has given you to serve Him daily.

Let’s remember to lift our hands high and lift up our heavenly Father daily because, “it is the Lord who sustains us” Psalm 54:4. And he is so much bigger than any overwhelming moment or circumstance.
