It's All About Trust
By Lee Wise
I trust God because I *need* to trust Him -- and because I love Him.
The time for trusting may find arrive at my doorstep during the middle of the day - or night - when my breathing is easy and my burden is light.
Life may be "cool," but I still look to Him in trust.
I seek my Heavenly Father for a child's safety, daily discipline, which ministry opportunity to accept, and to love that three year old who right at the moment I would not describe as "my darling little angel of grace."
And then again...
My "trusting time" may seek me out in the middle of good day and cause that same day to be anything but good.
The breathing isn't easy, and the burden isn't light.
Mom's sick.
My wife's in ER. "How bad was the accident? Who was with her in the car?"
I can't move my left arm, and "What, doctor, are the long term effects of a stroke? And… can you tell me, please, will they look like in my everyday world?"
Life holds few guarantees.
Except one: He is there.
Casting all my anxiety on Him because he cares for me *means something* in my everyday -- good or bad -- world of events.
It means something through *all* of the trusting times.
It means something because...
He cares.
And He is there.
All of the time.
After all,
When it's all said and done, it really is...
All about trust.
because he cares for you."
