What does contentment really mean? Does it mean being happy with whatever comes our way? Or does it mean forcing ourselves to be happy even if that isnít how we feel? How does one become content?

I think the best definition I've heard is that contentment is not necessarily being happy about each and every aspect of our lives, but it is accepting what God allows in our lives. This does not mean that we will be happy about every circumstance, but if we can learn to accept even the hard things and be thankful for them, we can be content. We must remember that God uses all things for His purposes.

If God has given us the chance to work from home we need to be focusing first and foremost on Him. We need to begin by pleasing Him and blessing others through our businesses. I believe if we are focused on Him, we can then allow Him to provide for us financially. But, the financial aspect cannot be our focus or we will never be content. Our focus MUST be on the Lord!

Mark 12: 28-31

'One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'There is no commandment greater than these."'
