Abortion

By Rachel Lower

Ecclesiastes 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. (KJV)

Common Sense

Imagine working hard on a gift to your best friend in the world. You put a lot of time and energy into it and it turns out to be a unique one-of-a-kind masterpiece. You wrap it up and put a bow on it and bestow it upon your friend. Now imagine the friend, right before your eyes, tearing your masterpiece to pieces. Only then to drive out to the city dump and throw out the remains. How would you feel? This is how God feels every time someone aborts one of his children, one of his unique gifts.

Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb? (KJV)

Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. (KJV)

Isaiah 46:4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. (KJV)

Verses like Genesis 49:25 and Deuteronomy 7:13 show that children are a blessing and a gift.

Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (KJV)

Genesis 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. (KJV)

Inside the Womb

Here are some examples of how individuals are already human and already have a purpose set forth before they even come out of the womb.

Luke 1:41-44 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (KJV)

Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. (KJV)

Isaiah 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (KJV)

Isaiah 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. (KJV)

Hosea 9:11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. (KJV)

Hosea 12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: (KJV)

Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. (KJV)

Imagine if Mary had aborted Jesus!

Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. (KJV)

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (KJV)

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, (KJV)

Then of course, many times, God told the mother beforehand what her children would be. For example, Jacob and Esau.

For Every Baby Conceived

Every wonderful babe.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (KJV)

Psalm 139:13-16 13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. (KJV)

Isaiah 44:24-25 24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; 25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; (KJV)

The Lord makes every child. He knows and has a plan for each and every child even before they are conceived!

It is Murder

Exodus 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. (KJV)

Isaiah 13:18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. (KJV)

Jeremiah 20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me. (KJV)

Isaiah 49:15-17 15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. 17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee. (KJV)

According to the Lord his children are human. A painting is still a painting even before it is completed. These children have life, which is given to them by God. Taking that life away would be murder, robbery, etc.

Matthew 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, (KJV)

(Bear in mind if you have had an abortion, it is forgivable. Just look at King David's history!)

For Anyone Considering the Unthinkable

"Nearly 40% of 500 women seeking abortions at a city clinic had a history of being abused by a partner." -GLAMOUR Jan 99, from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in NC.

If you have been raped, and simply do not want to be reminded of this forever, give the baby up for adoption. It is a selfless act. God would very much rather have you pass on the gift to someone else than destroy it. I recently saw a women with a teenage son, the father was that woman's own father. She had been raped and impregnated by her father. Yet, her son was what kept her 'together' all these years.

If you are unmarried, that is no excuse, you can either keep the baby or give him or her away. If you are married and in an abusive marriage, you must fight for that babies life. It is extremely rare that a baby need to be aborted for the mothers life. Even in that case, I've seen mothers let nature take its course, even if they had to give their lives for it.

In any case, if you cannot keep the baby, please deeply consider
