Matilda seems to have "cradle cap" on her forehead and temples - but not actually on her head. It's not dry or anything or clumpy or thick but still gross and waxy - how do I remove it again? I can actually rub it off with my fingers... eww it's gross!!!
mmm don't think the breast milk will work for this one LOL LOL |

Baby oil and a comb. Gently of course!

Rub baby oil on the scalp or where the cradle cap is and then get a brush and scup gently in circular motion it isn't recommened to pick at it.

My DS had this sooooo bad!!!! I did baby oil and dandruff shampoo every day for 6 weeks and to no avail. Finally, the ped told me to use Cortaid and it cleared up. It was sooooooo gross when he had it.

Dd has it in one spot around her soft spot. I couldn't resist picking at it either. I tried the oil thing, but it didn't seem to help much, but I did find that putting a small dab of dandruff shampoo in my hand and mixing it with her baby shampoo really helped. If you think about it, it's actually seborrheic dermatitis, and adults get it too...I sure do, and boy does it bother me unless I use a dandruff shampoo. Now that DD is older, I can just use her baby shampoo and scrub her "trouble" area and it seems to keep it at bay.
I think the worst was when I put Dd's hair up in a little ponytail....ok so she only had three hairs that were long enough to pull up, but I did it anyways, and when I got into better light, I saw how bad it really was......yuck!! Amber
