Question amber teething necklace

Do you take it on and off?
J seems to have long drawn out teething sessions (3 mo for a set of 2). So I've left it on- but he's in the throws of "hardcore" teething- tons of snot, chesty, sore bum etc. We've pulled out the big guns- good ol 8 hour motrin.

Does it lose it's effectiveness if not taken off?
I definatly noticed in improvement in the general drooling etc the past couple of weeks.

I've left ours on. I've taken it off for baths, then gently rinsed the necklace in plain water. That's it. My kids have been in theirs pretty much 24/7. (even though 'they' recommend removing it at bedtime - choking hazard)

And you gotta remember, it's not a 'cure'. They may still have some difficulties here and there. The teething necklace is just a natural 'remedy'..to *help* with the teething symptoms.

With Boo, he wore the necklace all the time, but sometimes he was still kinda fussy/uncomfortable. I would continue with the teething tablets as usual. The tablets and drops helped with the inflammation and the necklace seemed to continue to control the drool.

Have you tried other natural remedies? The teething tablets and drops? Those homeopathic things are really great!

I avoid medicine if at all possible, preferring homeopathics. But if you feel the homeopathics just aren't cutting it, that your guy is really miserable, try the Tylenol as opposed to the Motrin. Acetaminophin (sp?) helps with the inflammation which is causing the discomfort. The ibuprophen (sp?) of Motrin is more geared toward muscle discomfort and, as you know, treating fevers. But there's no need to treat a fever here if there is one.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier...and sorry if I rambled on with more than you were bargaining for hehe
