I though I was going to get all the way through this pregnancy without any major aches/pains, boy was I wrong. My back is killing me. Middle and lower back and I can't get any relief. Is is safe to use a heat pack on my back?!
Thanks for the help -Jessy

Thanks for the reply. I think I will try the heat pack this evening, that seems to be when it's at it's worst. I try to sleep with a pillow between my knees but I'm so active it never stays put, go figure! LOL Oh well, like you said, I'm not to far off

I am with ya Jessy....only it is more lower and hip area for me...I found that if I wedge pillows behind me (dh has to help get me settled) WITH the pillow between my knees as well that seems to take some stress off too...I think laying on your side all the time really puts stress on the back especially with the weight of the tummy pulling against it...if that makes any sense.
Have you tried a belly belt...that might also help during the day to give you some extra support... When all else fails for me, I do take one tylenol at night if I just can't get comfy and that seems to at least help me get to sleep. I don't do that all the time but when it is severe enough! Hope it gets better for you... Melanie

You can always do pelvic rocks that helps when my lower back hurts. You just get on your hands and knees and tilt your lower back upwards hold for a couple of seconds and then lower back down I usually do about 5 at each sitting.

Thanks ladies for all the advice! My back is feeling a bit better today
Katie-I didn't think about doing that for my back pain, I do that once in awhile to stretch but I'm gonna try it for the pain! Thanks! Melanie-I've thought about the belly/back support belt. I'm just to cheap! LOL I do need to get hubby to help "tuck" me in a little better at night. I just move so much at night things never stay put
