Default I do it MYSELF!

DD just turned 2 in May and she's right on target in the independence department! If I try to help her she'll throw a fit. For example, if I start to help her clean up, she'll undo what I have done just so she can do it herself!

My son is just like that, better yet he says " I can do it my byself!" Not a typo, that's how it sounds

OH, sounds so familiar. I thought it was just my strong willed little man. He is changing every day & I pray for wisdom & patience to know the correct direction for him.

Yes it is! I prefer to think of it as the "Terrific Two's". Actually, after experiencing the 4's with DD#1 the 2's are a piece of cake!

Wait till the 9's, and the 14's! 9's suddenly realize you don't know everything after all. 14's get a nice burst of testosterone which makes them ressistent to things! Whole different set of rules! But still lots of fun! I am enjoying my teens( 16, and 14). But I hear it can be the toddler years all over again with bigger problems. So far not bad at all. Enjoying my new friends while still guiding. But the concerns, much BIGGER! Letting one drive was a huge test of my faith!

The "Terrific Teens", right, Leslie? The teens are kind of a repeat of "I do it myself", don't you think?

The first time you watch them drive away alone is a bit scary, but, on the other hand, it's nice to have other drivers in the house. "Can you run up to the store for me? Can you go pick up your brother at school?" Nice.
