My son had his field day yesterday... and lemme tell you the Kindergartners are so stinkin cute. The am K class was out there with the 4, 5, 6th graders so his class was easy to spot

I ran one of the stations, but I had down time where I got to go see him, too.
The gym teacher is really wonderful and creative! They had theme events, I guess they do different things every year. This year was construction. Each team was divided into 4 teams - hammers, stapleguns, saws, and wrenches. Almost all the activities were related to home construction - they had pour the foundation, with watering cans and foundation blueprint outlines to follow, paint and roll - they used paintbrushes to paint each other with water and then rolled on a 'wall' (mat), insulation - they stacked milk crates then had to get 20 tennis balls into the top one, clean sweep - they had to sit on scooters and with a little broom and dustpan, clean up the MESS

(balls, bean bags, etc), She had 15 stations in all, too much to type out! I was really impressed!
Aiden was glad I went, too. He was a little nervous about the whole thing, and he doesn't like getting wet, so he really needed som`e reassurance. I was glad I went to enjoy the day, but to also save the little ones! No one had sunblock on, and we were spending over 2 hours in the hot bright sun!! So I whipped out my bottle and their teacher and a couple of moms slathered everyone.
