Default "Get your finger out of your nose!"

Ok, I know this is a gross topic but I really could use the advice of all the knowledgable and experienced moms on Cmoms.
My DD is 3.5 yo and I feel that I am always saying the line in the subject. It's not that she ALWAYS has her finger in her nose but once is too much for me. At least when she is "successful" she holds her finger out for me to get a tissue--she doesn't wipe it on anything or worse...
How can I get her to stop? I really can't stand this habit!

TIA!

My oldest son picks...only to gross me out! LOL. I found that when I started to ignore him, he has cut back on "nose time".

DS has started to do that too...we tell him it's ok if he uses a kleenex or if he is in the bathroom. Am I the only one?!?! I can't stand having that 'stuff' in my nose either!

No Pianomom.. I do the same thing. If he's picking as long as he wipes it on a tissue, and doesn't eat it or rub it on something I don't really care that much. If I see him doing it, I usually ask if he needs a tissue though.

I find that so gross too. My son is about 3-1/2 too and I tell him its nasty and he needs a tissue or a 'soft cloth'. When he was little and I needed to wipe his nose or his eyes from crying I would say we need to get a 'soft cloth'. Now, he will say he needs one and takes one to bed and in the car. So we try to use that, but he has had a little stuffed up crusty nose this week and a little blood (that may have been from picking) so I caught him picking at the gunk twice. Once he put in his mouth in front of me and DH and we were both like GROSS!! That is the first time I have ever seen him do that, but his little friend did it the other day and I told her that was gross, so I think they thought it was funny.

We do the same thing. We even still help him out with saline spray and the green bulb nose sucker thing if he has a "boug" bothering him.
