Ok gals,
I talked to Dh and he is willing to switch to cloth diapers for the twins...and even do cloth on Mak (almost 25 months!) Whooohooo. I have been online looking for the cheapest way to switch to cloth diapers for all three kiddos and I was blessed to be able to pick Tara's mind a bit too. So....after all that "research" I think we decided to do either prefolds or fitted diapers. Dh said I could use $150 this coming paycheck to buy a starter supply....which I would like to get some for both Mak and the twins. I found Bummis whisper pants for around 5.50 each and they have good reviews....but I think I am having a harder time finding the prefolds and/or fitted diapers that are affordable. I saw that some of you gals use different inserts like towels from Costco and such. I do not have a sewing machine, but would love ideas like this. WHERE DO I BUY CHEAP PREFOLDS? Also, does anyone here want to or need to sell their stash for a good price? Does anyone here sew them and sell them for a good price? I would LOVE to support you ladies here, but again I only have $150 to start with (I probably can buy more once a month and we do have disposables that we recieved as gifts that I have no problem using) so I want to be as wise as possible and as thrifty as possible! Please, let your cloth diapering mind vomit everything it knows on here...I am ready with a big bucket!!! heeheee Bless you for even making it through this post....and thank you in advance for help if you have it! LOVE YOU!! Amber

We used Bummis prefolds for the first stage with a snappi and cover and just loved them. We never needed any inserts at this stage. They are a great price.
For the second stage I still find the prefolds are super absorbent and work really well, I just do not like working with a snappi and wrestling a squirming baby. Nothing like wrapping a little baby bum in cloth. I still love it!

I'm not much help as I used Fuzzibunz and Swaddlebees only, pocket diapers with inserts. Unfortunately ebay won't allow them to be sold used anymore there, perhaps check out diapperswappers.com? We so enjoyed using cloth for our youngest.

diapperswappers.com is a great site! I've bought a lot of my stash there!
Do you sew? Fitted diapers are pretty easy to sew! I like Bummis Super Whisper Wraps for covers. I bought mine on Amazon.com. Other than that, I'm mainly a Fuzzi Bunz gal. I have a large stash of pockets and the like and mainly only use prefolds if I'm behind on laundry. I just find them easier to put on a squirming older kid.
