I haven't had a chance to look at every topic, so I apologize if this has been asked before,
We have chosen Christian school for our kids, and I was just wondering if there were others here who do the same....

We've done it all
I homeschooled my older daughter for three years (k,1,2) and now she attends a private Christian school. Homeschooling was tough for us because we live in a very rural area without a lot of support. My daughter was lonely and seemed angry. It was also tough schooling her while caring for my younger daughter's needs, which included weekly therapy visits (3x), doctor visits, feeding, diapering, exercising, etc. For several reasons we chose to put our older daughter in private Christian school. This is her third year and we are very pleased with the values, curriculum, environment etc. She is very happy. She makes straight A's and is praying with her class and studying God's word daily. She also plays on the Basketball team and is on the speech team. The toughest part is the expense

Currently our 4 year old goes to a Christian playschool and is registered to start kindergarten at the Private Christian School in town. So far I have no complaints regarding the playschool and he's been there since fall of 2005.

I attended a Private Christian School until I was in 7th grade... best thing my parents ever did for me!! Highly recommend. Just be sure to check the curriculum and practices on discipline!

We send our oldest to Christian school. Our others will follow but aren't old enough yet. We really think it is an important step for us. A close nit school community is very important to us and we have sent him since JK. What he is being taught is one less thing that we have to worry about. Amy

i wish we could, but we just cant afford it for three kids. If i do end up homeschooling, it will be sonlight or Abeka curriculum.

We struggled with it at first and then it became more about the education and the money became obsolete. It just seems to work out every year. I just have faith that it always will. God always provides.

I went to Christian schools off and on between homeschooling as a child. If financially I'm unable to become a SAHM when our kids go to school in the next 2-3 years, I will enroll them in a local Christian school that has really decent tuition prices. Actually cheaper than my daycare costs are right now.
