Default Postpardum Bleeding

in the past I would bleed for 3 -4 weeks, but this time, i only bled for about 8 days???? Is that normal? I had a few days with just a little bit of light spotting, but that was it.
How long did you bleed for?

I bled for 4-5 weeks, but hey - as long as you aren't having any indications of something being wrong (pain or fever, etc)... consider yourself blessed to not endure weeks of bleeding.

Thinking this time up to two weeks and then some really light spotting a few times. Congratulations!

Esther, congratulations on joining this kind of weird club. With my first two, I bled heavily for weeks, and then would spot for a few more weeks. Ugh. Then when the twins came, and Eliya, the bleeding was heavy *right* after they were born, but literally within a couple hours I was already drying up. Whaaaat???

I thought something was wrong... and actually remember being scared and taking my temp a lot after the twins to make sure I wasn't sick. But, with each one now it's gotten lighter and lighter. Praise the Lord, eh? I was up RIGHT after having the twins... and the same with Eliya... immediately after she was born I was asking my midwife if I could go shower, my midwife actually told me to "slow down".

My monthly cycles have gotten a *lot* lighter since we went off birth control and the IUD. I have Maaaaaybe three days of TRUE period now.... whereas before I was a solid seven days of heavy AF. Weird, huh?

Anywho... I'm glad I'm not alone in having light PPAF.

I only bled for about a week, extremely light. I'd say if you aren't having any other symptoms don't worry about it.

Man! Many of you ladies are soooo blessed! I bled for about 6 weeks!!! It sounds like it can lighten up with each baby so we'll see what the next brings.

4 weeks straight and then spotting for two more with eldest. 3 weeks bleeding and about a week of spotting with number 2. I did have a random bleed at 8 weeks, not a period with the eldest, which after investigating can be normal according to my Art of NFP book. Didn't with the youngest. Who knows. The pregnancies were totally different with them too.

I've bled for a few weeks after with each one, but if you are ok otherwise I would say just to enjoy it! I hope the rest of your recovery is going as smoothly as this is. I your new siggy pic, btw.
