So AF just started up again the other day, but it's actually got me kinda excited... Why, you ask? Cause I truly believe God asked me to wait 4 years for a child, and that would be 48 cycles by my calculations. Since this was #44, that means I'm getting closer! lol
Is that crazy? Maybe so, but it's keeping me going. We've got an appointment Dec 2nd with a specialist and dh wants to start exploring adoption again too, so whichever way God wants to give us a family, I'm good with! Just wanted to say thanks for your support ladies, and I'm looking forward to being able to give you some good news over the next few months.

What an amazingly patient person you are. It's hard to wait for what we want so badly, but you are an amazing example of relying on the Lord.
We had Emma a few weeks after the 5th anniversary of first TTC. We did have two m/c along the way which may helped us keep going, but it's a hard long road. I pray the Lord blesses you either through a sticky pg or an adoption. What a blessing they would be!! blessings, Amber

Thanks for your testimony, Tripper ~ so wonderful to hear you cling to the hope you have in the Lord. "He who calls you is faithful..."

This is a devo I got today, which I read right after initially reading your post! Related, applied to ttc "detours".
No driver enjoys having to take a detour, but there is usually a very good reason for it, and we accept it with little question. A divinely prescribed detour in our personal goals, however, often becomes a focus of complaint and discouragement. Detours and delays of one sort or another occur in the life of every Christian, but they are always for good reason. Remember Christ taught that when we have "been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things" (Matthew 25:21). Trials and detours prepare us for greater responsibility and blessing.

Wow, thanks for sharing that Rachel! It really encouraged me!
My only concern for myself is how I'm going to feel if for some reason something doesn't materialize in the next few months... life is so busy and stressful these days and I AM a little concerned that we won't actually take steps forward - either towards pregnancy or adoption - despite how much we've been talking about it... Can you tell dh is away this weekend?
