Default Gift ideas for six year old

Hi! Ds is six, will be seven in June. I CAN'T for the life of me figure out what to buy him for christmas. When asked, he says, "I don't want anything"
OOOOOOOOOOKAY
anyway, what are some of you getting your ds in the 6-10 age range?

Those were the biggest LEGO years ever!! He would start checking online to see what the newest series was going to be and that is all he ever talked about! He also liked the other building set toys like Lincoln Logs and K-Nex, and his favorite of all time(so far) was his erector set ferris wheel.

I'm trying to remember what my ds liked when he was 6 years....ummmmmm...he has always liked music and I think he was 6 when he got his Karoke machine. He also loved to ride his bike and scooter then too. Stephanie

I agree with Becky; Legos are the ticket!

Gabe hasn't played with legos since he was about four, maybe even younger! He tends to get more into "older" things. Like working in the yard, reading, writing, things like that.

he's getting walkie talkies and I thought about maybe getting him some camoflauge get up or something. Not sure, though. I was thinking a pair of camo overalls and a camo t-shirt to match? whatcha think?

yes yes, legos..other building sets..
anything camo goes here too hehehe
bike
scooter (don't forget the helmet)
big rugged balls
castle and knights
pirate ship and pirates
Star Wars figures
super hero figures
tent/sleeping bag
cd player with audio books or music
character pillows
flashlights (the ones that strap on the head are a huge hit! )
tools..measuring tape especially

I have a 7.5 and 5 yr old this year...we're looking at scooters for both, race bike for 7 yr old, probably drums for the 5 yr old
Last year they got the castle set, big hit!
Oh and the 9 yr old gets a skateboard and a guitar (is the plan anyway). Bibles for 2 this year as well.

Anything Playmobil would likely hit the target. As would other sets like the Papo castle and knights we have...they have pirates, western theme, ancient Egypt, fantasy....

Oh and anything to do with drawing/coloring..
lots of paper, different kinds and colors
markers, colored pencils
pastels, paints
maybe an easel?

did that help any?

yup got my motors turning.

we're thinking on getting him something from this list:
camo get-up
"big boy" puzzles
"customized" art set
(I'll take a big storage box and fill it up with contruction paper, crayons, markers, scrapbook stuff (just not for scrapbooking) things like that, kinda make him a craft box of sorts and decorate the box for his style.

I really like the craft box idea the most.

The craft box sounds great!!

Don't forget a flashlight (preferrably the head one trust me here LOL) to go with the camo get up.
Sounds perfect! Can't wait to hear about it come Christmas
