People are always asking me if this is my first (do I look young or what?!!!) pregnancy and I just love watching their jaw hit the floor when I say it's my 4th! It is honestly so much fun!!

Ha! Yes I got that with the twins a lot, and yes people would look at me shocked a bit (especially in Oregon, in South Carolina most people said I was blessed) when I told them it was #4 and #5. Now I just get looks when we are all out grocery shopping (I always take all four of mine, and they are very well behaved, so maybe that shocks people) but now that I am showing I get stares. No one has asked me if this is my first, and probably won't since I am always with my four, but it's funny to see people's reactions!
I honestly am so happy we are here in the south. People actually see children as blessings...not everyone, but the majority, where in Oregon I got more of the "don't they know how to stop" attitude! I'm sure you get that question because you are beautiful and look terribly young!! Blessings, Amber

Lol I always have my 2 Youngest with me when school is in, but over the summer I have all 4 and I think people ran down the pregnant lady with 3 boys asking if it's a girl lol when I was pregnant with ds4 and had ds3 with me they assumed I was having my second child and gasped and stuttered when I told them I was having my 4th boy lol I still get advice from moms in the store about when my 2 get older how boys are like I just nod and tell them my other 2 boys are in school and then they stutter f-f-four boys? No girls? Lol I know moms with 5 and 6 boys(or 5and 6 girls)I really don't think it's that strange or alot of kids lol but it does surprise me when I have just my 2 youngest with me how people give me advice on how they will be best buds and how one will cry when the other starts school etc lol like they are my only ones lol,

Joy, since working in Labor and Delivery, I usually just ask "which number baby is this for you?" I don't think it's rude, and I usually always get a good response. Sometimes it takes a women a moment to process what I just asked, but then usually answers with a smile! I agree that people do use the "oh, is this your first?" as an ice breaker. Another thing in this world where transparency has gone out the window. If you want to know how many kids I or someone has, ask. I won't get offended. If I wanted to know how many cars you had I would ask. Not sure why I would want to know that, but hey, just saying!!
Yeah, I am so very happy to be away from Portland. There are many God fearing, loving Christians there, but sadly most stick to the Christian circles. Not all, but many. I see many with "project" friends, but usually there is one or two unsaved friends at one time, not living and interacting with the unsaved trying to be salt and light....does that make sense? Here in the south, everybody is Christian, even if they are not....lol. So many lifers in the churches, but I think many don't actually have relationships with the Lord, it was just what you do....go to church! I know many ministries are working towards reaching these people though. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack.....just late night ramblings! Have a most blessed night! Amber

yep - I usually got that too. Pregnancy makes you look younger - probably because of 'your glow'. Enjoy the compliments, girl - it's fun!

Yeah I usually don't have the boys with me for appointments and stuff so that's why I get asked... yesterday I was at the boys' soccer practice - they were both practicing on parallel fields so I was watching both - and just had Sawyer running around. One of the moms asked if it was my 2nd because Sawyer was obviously with me. I said, "No, 4th" and I honestly wondered if she peed her pants. I didn't think 4 was THAT amazing! lol
