I went to a Michael Card concert the other night and he sang a song that I honestly did not have. It touched me so much. It's called Come Lift Up Your Sorrows.

Lately, a lot of burdens have been weighing on my heart, specifically one involving my husband. After a conversation we had (one where I felt helpless because there's absolutely nothing I can do), he went to bed and I continued working and this song came on:

Wow! It's an amazing song, and I really think God allowed it to play at a time when I needed it most. The whole experience has been sticking with me ever since it happened. God is SO good!!!

I honestly have a song everyday that sticks with me. It keeps me focused through the day, or helps me deal with whatever's going on... It also helps me to witness to those who need "a word of encouragement"... to just sing or say a line of one of the songs. It touches me when I realize that the song that the Lord has placed on my heart for the day is also a message for one of His other children that day. I am blessed to be able to share it.

I will seriously knock people over to turn up the radio when David Crowder Band's song "How He Loves" comes on. Such a simple message about God's love for us! Sometimes its easy to let yourself worry only about all the ways in which you fail to be the Christian that God wants you to be, so its nice to be reminded that at the end of the day, God LOVES you. No matter what. And the beauty of that makes it hard to hold on to regrets too long. )
