Default frustrated with cycle - help!

I have been spotting every day for 14 days...now AF has started. What the...!???! I just frustrated that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Hard to time things with dh when my body doesn't know what it's doing. any suggestions to get my cycle back on a regular schedule?

thanks...

Oh gosh! I wish I could help you but I am confused about my own body! I just wanted to say I completely sympathize with you and know how you're feeling. I *thought* AF was here 3 weeks ago, but started again this week and that only last for 2 days. And now I'm just confused... but I'm dealing with potential PP bleeding and nursing so I'm a bit different than your case. But I still feel ya! I hope it evens out for you.

This is what I found:

Often the spotting after period is a dark brown blood that is fairly scant. The dark brown color signifies that this is older blood. Sometimes, for one reason or another, the uterus doesn't expel all of the menstrual tissue during normal menstruation, and it comes out a week or so later. If this starts happening suddenly and consistently, a doctor should determine if there is some kind of condition that is keeping the uterus from sufficiently expelling all menstrual tissue. If it only happens once in a while there is probably no reason for alarm.

Perhaps this is a silly question, but do you have any HPT's on hand? It might be wise to POAS to rule that out. On another board that I frequent, a gal had an "AF" that lasted way too long. She went in and got checked and found that the cause of the bleeding was pregnancy. She now has a healthy baby boy.

hmmm...

Thanks, Michelle for understanding!
Esther, thanks for looking up info for me. Sometimes it is dark and therefore 'old'. But then there will be a tinge of bright red or pink.
Ruth, no HPTs on hand. May have to get one at the dollar store down the street. I've been charting and have seen no signs of a temp spike...can I still O if no temp spike?

Thank you all so much for responding...will keep you updated.

hugs!

If it were me, and it were abnormal, I would just be going in to talk to my midwife about it... but not "worried"... just that it's different and I wouldn't want to just over look it, ya know?
