Oh, my, Hope! I am laughing so hard...I have DONE this, only in reverse! It was with Noah, and I wasn't comfortable nursing him in bed yet, so I would get up and use the recliner in my husband's office. So anyway, one winter night I woke up in the recliner, wrapped up in my fuzzy robe and wearing my fleece jammy pants and socks (all stuff I had to put on after climbing out of bed)--but no baby! I panicked, thinking I'd dropped him, and raced around searching for him...until it finally registered in my sleepy mind to check his bed. There he was, tucked in and sound asleep. Sigh...

Yes I had the bassinet by the bed it wasn't attached and I could get him and nurse him without having to get out of bed, well I woke up and my boob still hanging out but no baby I searched bed about knocked hubby out of bed thinking he rolled on him to only find out he was in his bassinet lol it used to bother me because I could rack my brain and I do NOT ever remember putting him there ever and why didn't I put my boob away? Lol it happened so many times over the yrs with each kid now my husband jokes during the frantic search "did you our lose *insert name here* again?" lol But I have a bassinet and the crib in my room and for some reason I would put them in the crib instead of the bassinet which is right by my bed and it really bothered me that I never remember getting up and doing it and why? Because the bassinet is right here lol

Melinda, I know what you mean! So many times during the nights I will wake and realize " Oh, Matthew is nursing!" or "Wow, he went to sleep quickly" and I rack my brain trying to figure out when I retrieved him!
