Default Memorial Day, "Coming Home" photos

They are just beautiful! http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/ I admire the men and women who serve and have served and protected us all, as well as their spouses and children. They make incredible sacrifices for all of us.

Christine, just beautiful!!! I'm very thankful for the men & women who fight for our country! I admire the spouses & families they leave behind for all they have to go through without them (((HUGS)))

Here I sit at the computer, weeping away. I am so touched by these photos. Viewing the flag-draped coffins and grieving families is so terribly sad.

However, what I noticed so much in the photos was, oddly enough, was what an amazing thing "arms" are. These people looked as if they could not hold their loved ones any closer. Their arms were wrapped around their husbands, wives, children and families as if they would never let them go.

Thank you for sharing these.

I bawled. Really. Coming from a military family I couldn't help myself. I so cannot wait for my brother to come home for good. Another year and a half is long to wait. The pictures taken at Arlington with the soldiers final ride home really struck deep. My brother is Honor Guard in DC and it's his platoon that takes them on the final ride to the cemetery at Arlington. Makes me proud of him, but makes me miss him that much more.
