Default any moms with 10-11yr boys

I have a 10yr son who I am losing touch with. I am pretty sure that he is saved because I have really talked with him.
I think he is going through deep depression and I feel like my hands are tied because he used to tell me things. His dad is in the picture but doesn't seem to want to connect with him. I wish I could pull him out of the public school but we can't afford to.
Is there any Christian Magazines out there that could give him some encourgement.?
We live in Houghton Lake Michgan..is there any mom that has a son around Cameron's age?

Please pray for him...Becky

Becky I'll be praying for Cameron. I have a 9 year old son and haven't had the problems you're having and pray I don't. Have you talked to the pastor or youth minister at your church? Maybe they could lead you in the right direction. Meanwhile we are having a James Dobson parenting class at church and recommends just keeping those lines of communication open with children that are that age. He says that family time is very important and encouragement on anything you can find to encourage him about is very important too. God bless and hang in there.

I just pm'd you. But wanted to say that as boys mature they go through many phases. Keep the communication lines open as much as you can. Find moments and take them with him. Prayer is so key! Ask God to help you keep his heart. Ask God to keep his heart. But be reassured. Some increased silence is normal. Though if you think depression is a real possiblity then I would seek professional intervention.
