Hmm... That's strange... I'm a week away from when I normally ovulate, but I'm getting some light uterine cramping. (I say uterine cause I'm sure it's not gas or any other type of cramps.)
Anyone else have this before? What causes it? Should I be concerned about this cycle? Thanks for your expertise ladies!

How far out from AF are you? Where are your cramps? center or side?
Honestly I can't remember if I had any uterine cramps before O....I can't remember most of anything in the past, but the uterus is a muscle, and we have all had muscle cramps one way or another, so I would say unless it's really weird or painful to just keep an eye on it, make sure you are hydrated, passing your bowels often enough, and emptying your bladder enough. I know that ALL of those things, along with gas (like you mentioned) all make me feel like my uterus is cramping. I can't tell you how many times this pregnancy I thought I was having uterine cramps early on, only to figure out it was something else. So much is going on in that area..... I hope you have an AWESOME ovulation and some very energetic and ambitious spermies this month! May the Lord direct your Dh's seed, and open your womb! Blessings dear sister, Amber

i have never had any but I my sisters have everytime, I have always heard its absolutely normal, I do know when my sister was going to a fertility specialist and she was doing an iui and was on clomid and had the shots and stuff the specialist told her she would probably feel some good cramping because it was going to be a good O(my sister never asked questions on why), and she did feel more and stronger cramps then normal and she only released one egg that month(so it wasnt caused from multiple eggs which is common with clomid and those shots was getting), I think it just bursts out of your ovary a little more excitedly then normal lol, but "the medical term for ovulation pain is mittelschmerz, a German word meaning “middle pain" and i have read you can feel this before, during or after ovulation, and I dont know why so according to some article ovulation for you could still be a couple days away, do you keep up with your bbt?

I haven't tracked my bbt for a few years now, but the cramping seems to have stopped. I should ovulate next Wed - so this is prime bd time. Yay!
Next question: **may be tmi** For those who have used a menstrual cup before, did it feel... Uncomfortable? Like, a fair bit of pressure when you used it for the first time? After we bd'd tonight, I put some Astroglide in a cup and inserted it. Hopefully it'll help dh's men find their way! It felt like it slid into place over my cervix, but I'm still feeling internal pressure/discomfort. Is that normal? I can't find anything online (Dr Google lol) to answer my question, so I thought I'd ask here... Any ideas? I'm gonna sleep with it in, then remove it when I get up. I just thought you weren't supposed to be able to feel it at all! Thanks ladies!

I don't recall any discomfort, but I could see it happening if your cervix is tilted or going in a wonky direction.
I had mine in for quite a long time and started feeling sick, so make sure you don't keep it in TOO long. Once I took it out I was fine. Probably toxic shock was starting...not good! Just keep an eye out for that! I pray this works and that you are more comfortable! Blessings, Amber

I only have experience with one cup and that's the diva cup and there are lots of other menstrual cups and they all look different in shape, the diva cup comes in 2 sizes one for people who haven't had a baby yet and under 30 and one for people who have had a baby or are over 30, it says you can keep it in for 12hrs too, I know if I don get my diva cup up enough inside me I feel pressure, I just keep twisting the cup and pushing it and it works all the way in,
Amber can you really get TSS with a menstrual cup? My diva cup paper says that's one of the benefits of using a menatrual cup was there were no chances of getting TSS with it? I know sometimes I go over my 12hr mark but never worried because I didn't think you could get tss with a menstrual cup
