    Default Son wants a baby!

Had to pass this one on: My sweet 4-year old comes up to me with a serous look. "Mama," he says, "me want a baby brother." Well, I've explained to him that Mama can't have any more babies and I tried to explain it again. He thought about it for a minute and asks: "Well, can me and Sissy just get married? Me want a kid!" Had to explain that he can't marry his sister!

Finally, I think we're satisfied with the assurance that he'll get a Baby Alive for Christmas. He has already picked out where "his baby" will sleep.

He will be a wonderful daddy one day!

2 yro dd keeps asking for a sister. We are ttc baby #2 but haven't gotten pregnant yet so it's hard to disapoint her. All her friends have siblings and she hears me talk about my sister. I thinks it's cute that they want to expand our family.

When we got pregnant with our third child, we told our oldest who was 4 at the time he was going to have a new baby brother or sister. he thought about it for a few moments and then told us he did not want a new baby brother or sister because he wanted to keep the one he already had. Then when we got pregnant with our fourth child - and told our 1st and second children about it the second one (who was also 4 at the time) said the exact same thing - that he did not want another brother or sister because he wanted to keep the little brother he already had. Now on occasion, Nathan - who is now 6- will tell me he thinks we need to have another baby girl so Rebecca my youngest will have a girl to play with.

This is what I did when my daughter asked for a sister a couple years ago.
I loaded her up in the car, took her to Wal Mart, and let her pick one out

Seriously though, it was sweet, but we've explained to her that it's up to God to decide when and whether or not me and daddy have another baby. He creates life, and he knows just the right thing for our family. She is 5 now and she was happy with that explanation Don't they say the sweetest things?
One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful organizations do not constitute a church any more than eleven dead men make a football team. The first requisite is life, always.

My 9 year old ds wants a baby brother so bad he can't stand it and of course my 5 year old dd wants a baby sister. I told them both that mommy and daddy are too old to have any more babies and that they will just have to act like their cousins are their brothers and sisters . Stephanie
