Will I be able to survive 3!

My sweet little boy who was once super obident and I rarley had to displain has turned into a completly different child! He will turn 3 next week and already showing it. He talks back, throws terrbile fits, Will not listen, has aboslulty no patience at all, and is driving me crazy! I know he is just being a 3 year old, but I am stressed beyond words. I admit that I am a little spoiled that up till now he has been a wonderful kid. Any advice on how to make it through this time would be wonderful

If you find it Julie pass it on to me. Daniel is still pretty good but the screaming if he doesn't get his way? Hoo BOY!! Sometimes he'll do it when DH is home. He looks at me and says. "Heck Kerri! That is louder than ALL the machines at work!" To which my reply is "See? And you think my always having a headache is just an excuse."

Ahhh, someone else is living my world too! LOL
My son just turned three on Tuesday this week and for about the past 4 months we have been dealing with will, tantrums, whining, testing all the limits....this was new for us too! He is so laid back and easy going and never a problem usually, but this age is typical and I just keep telling myself it will pass....hopefully quickly! LOL

wow - you HAVE been spoiled lol. My daughter turned 2 in March and has been throwing tantrums, screaming and yelling "NO WAY" to every request she doesn't like for about 4 months already LOL.

Does this mean when she's three she'll be even worse? Eeek.

Sorry, I'm not laughing at you. I can relate. My dd just turned 3 last month. And she was my "nice, sweet" child. I guess it's just part of the age and hopefully the stage won't last long. Although if she's anything like my oldest just wait until 4. That's when the attitude starts to kick in.

Amen to that! My ds's new favorite word is "no" and his new favorite thing to do is scream for no obvious reason. He'll be playing quietly then let out a scream. Then he likes to throw a fit if anything doesn't go his way. I do mean anything. And all this going on all while being used as a human pacifier to a 3 month old.

Well isn't 3 fun, I have had 5, 3yr olds and they all have lived up to it.
All I can say is what ever method of child rearing you use stick to it do not waver that is the most important thing for your child and of course yourself.
After all you are investing in a human being that has there own nature and will always want to go there own way. They are finding there own independance as well as going though letting go of you too.It's a confusing time for a 3yr old.
Imparting Godlyness in to a 3 yr old can only come from Jesus I always try to give boundrys as well as lot's of fun times with Mummy as well.
It's a leaning curve for everyone.
