37 weeks pregnant!

Hi mommies!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant now, just waiting for my little girl to arrive. What symptoms should I be looking out for so I know I'm nearing labor?

I'm working till a week before my due date.

Take it easy, dear. You'll be having more relaxed ligaments going on in the hip area. Don't make sudden movements - ouch! Drink lots of decaf raspberry leaf tea - supposed to tone the uterus and less bleeding at birth (it does work!). Your false contractions might be picking up more - depending on your body. If they don't go away after a steady time, even if you walk around or lay down, you might be in real labor. And found out recently extra vitamin c when you start real labor - tend to have less harsh contractions - it worked for me this past baby. Exciting time for you. Lean on the Lord and pray! Can't wait for the news!

Thank you JY, I wud try the raspberry tea, but I'm from South africa, never came across it here before.

Hi teli!! How very exciting!!! You are getting so close! How are you feeling these days?

Julie had some great words about what to look for. You may get a 'bloody show' when contractions start up. Bloody discharge/mucous. Some women get a lot of it. Some just a little. It doesn't mean labor is RIGHT AWAY but it does mean your body is getting geared up and it can happen soon.
