My daughter Julie has a homework assignment that goes like this...
Find out what a saint is, how one becomes a saint and she can choose a saint of her choice to write about.
Now, I know what the teacher's on about, he's talking about the catholic qualifications for sainthood. *I* want to educate my dd about what a saint really is, biblically, and part of our research is for me to ask you guys for help! I did look it up in my concordance the verses that talks about God's saints (His faithful followers/believers) but I wanted to just ask you guys for help putting this together. We plan on writing about what the biblical definition of a saint but also give him the answer I know he's looking for, ie the catholic requirements for 'sainthood'. This is good bc its giving my kids the opportunity to learn about cultural norms as well as reenforcing (is that spelled right?) what we believe.
Give me what you know about what it really means to be His saints! Her homework is due next wednesday the 17th Nov.
Thanks.
If this doesnt get enough traffic bc of where (elementary schoolers) it is Ill move it somewhere that gets more traffic for a topic like this.
