Today I had my 16 week appt, and while I was sitting getting my blood pressure taken the ultrasound tech who I love walked in. She did most of our ultrasounds with the twins once we moved here. We got pretty close during those times, and there has always been a connection between us. Well, she was saying how we only have about 4 weeks until our big ultrasound, and one of the other gals asked if we wanted to know what we were having. I said "I am ready to find out now! LOL"
Sylvia, the tech said...."well come on then....shhhhh, just don't tell anyone!" So I popped into her room and she did a quick, but detailed ultrasound.

So, we now officially have three girls and three boys! (hence the Brady bunch!) I was actually right in guessing this time.....that's never happened before. I knew it was a boy by the way my hair growth changed! Yup, we are having another boy! Praise the Lord! We are so blessed by the Lord!

Dh has been wanting to name a boy Gunner for a while (his nickname in the Marines was door gunner, and a rank in the Marines is something gunner or gunny), and I have never been very keen on the idea, but there really isn't any name out there that I can find that I like, so I think the Lord is leading my husband in this. Looks like this little guy will be a Gunner. Dh picked the twins names, and I wasn't "IN LOVE" with them, but they were ok, but he had wanted these names also for a while, so I agreed. They fit the twins really well! The Lord knew what He is doing when He gave my husband the lead! :-D
I get the middle name, but have no idea what I want. I have always like the name Leif (hubby is of Norwegian decent) but I don't know, I will just keep praying. The Lord knows this little guys name!

The Lord is so good!! The Lord blesses beyond belief, and I am so thankful that I am one of His!!

Blessings,

Opportunity To Praise

There are going to be days when we just don't feel like being thankful. We wake up and don't seem...

There are going to be days when we just don't feel like being thankful. We wake up and don't seem able to praise. We know we should "rejoice in the Lord always" (Philippians 4:4), and we're trying to learn "the secret of being content in any and every situation" (Philippians 4:12). We want to believe that "in all things God works for the good of those who love Him" (Romans 8:28). But sometimes it's just difficult.

There are many reasons for days like this. We sometimes may lose the eternal perspective of our life and our surroundings. We take our eyes off Jesus and begin to look at the gathering storm (Matthew 14:30). We may become entangled in the weeds and get choked by "the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth" (Matthew 13:22). Or we may simply become tired and weary.

Days like this are to be expected. Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble" (John 16:33a), and our trouble will sometimes strain our relationship with God. But even in the midst of our trouble we are all being "transformed into His image" (2 Corinthians 3:18). When we place our life in His hands, He begins the process of transformation - a process which WILL continue; "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion" (Philippians 1:6). Even though we may sometimes struggle and find ourselves in a dry desert, we are still progressing from what we once were to what we will yet become. God will use these difficult seasons to mold our heart if we will simply continue to trust, love, and praise.

We ought to remember that Jesus also said of our troubles; "But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33b). We must continue to grow in our relationship with God until He is so near that we truly see how He has overcome; and praise Him all day and every day. He desires our praise, and He is, without a doubt, deserving of our praise!

Psalms 113:3
"From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised."

The Psalm writer is stating a simple fact: The Lord IS to be praised! Jesus affirmed this truth when He was riding into Jerusalem and made it clear that He will receive praise with or without our participation. Crowds had begun to praise Him and some of the religious leaders told Jesus to make them stop. But Jesus responded; "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out" (Luke 19:40). Either we offer up our praise to the Creator of the Universe, or the rocks will begin to sing!

No matter what our situation is today, let's remember He is worthy of our praise! He has picked us up, cleaned us off, and adopted us into His Family. It is sad, and a terrible shame, but we often forget how many reasons we have for being thankful. Let's rise up and use this and every other moment of the day to rejoice with thanksgiving in our heart. Let's not miss another opportunity to praise.

Have a Christ Centered Day!

LEWISTON, Idaho – A man said he reached down to pick up a stick lying in the gardening aisle of a Wal-Mart in Idaho, only to discover that it was a rattlesnake that then bit his hand.

Mica Craig said he was shopping in the outdoor garden department of a Lewiston store when he was bitten Saturday. The 47-year-old man from Clarkston, Wash., says it latched onto his hand and that he screamed and managed to shake loose the snake and stomped it to death.

The Lewiston Tribune reports a bystander drove Craig to a local emergency room. Craig said he was treated with six bags of anti-venom and was told that his hand could be permanently disfigured.

He said doctors expect him to remain hospitalized until Tuesday.

I had the best Mother's Day EVER! So the birth wasn't all I was hoping and planning for, but we survived and got a beautiful little girly out of the deal! I even managed to do a pain-med free land birth... not my finest hours, but I lived! O and I even delivered in stirrups and didn't mind it...well as far as a land birth goes. Of course, I was in them less than 5 minutes I'll have to post her birth story once I get a chance. Ashlyn ADORES the baby and threw a royal fit when they took her to the nursery for pictures She was watching tv and eating. Dh and I had no idea that she even noticed but she was NOT happy that they were taking HER baby away
She's nursing like a pro and wants to eat ALL the time! I hope my milk comes in soon so I can keep up with her. She's got some crazy strong suction! I think it took her all of 5 seconds to latch on when I offered it the first time. I figured I just forgot what its like to have a baby nursing, but when several of the nurses were laughing at how hard she sucks her pacifier, I decided maybe it wasn't just me And yes, I let them give her a pacifier last evening. They said normally they don't like to so soon with a bfing baby, but since she's doing SO good and she wants something to suck on ALL the time, they think she'll do ok. So far it hasn't changed her great nursing! Thanks so much for all the congratulations!
