I've been researching online now for a few days and can't seem to find anything conclusive. I would appreciate some experienced TTC-ers help. I have been charting, as you know, and according to my chart, I'm on day 14 (typical ovulation time), I'm experiencing watery to pre-EWCM (borderline), and am having pains in my sides, a typical ovulation symptom for me.
BUT, my temps are "normal" and I haven't been able to be very regular in taking them since I usually am up and down out of bed through the night/early morning and I forget to take it before I move. I got Answer OPK's and have had consistent negatives, but they have been getting darker and darker negatives (a rise in hormones maybe?).
Can you have ovulation pains and symptoms without ovulating? I'm so curious and can't find any articles about it. I've tried several different ovulation sites. I appreciate the patience and info gals~ Here's my chart just in case it might be of any help.

Quick answer: no you haven't ovulated yet IMO. Keep on taking your temps and wait for a sustained raise. If your negative OPK's are getting darker it is likely that you are close. And yes, you can have EWCM and an open cervix and not ovulate. It's unlikely though to have a sustained temp rise and not ovulate.
Don't worry, just be as consistent as you can and don't run a marathon before taking your temp in the morning! If all you did is something minor like going to the bathroom or nursing and didn't eat or drink anything or do sustained activity, your temps shouldn't be that erratic.

Ruth, as always, thank you for your help! I did *not* know that the temps would be okay with me having gotten up to nurse... that's really all I do when I get up (or use the bathroom)... so I guess they are okay then. Thank you! I figured this month was just a waste of time (temp wise), so that helps. I don't know how you have the time to post and help, but *thank you* for doing so! You don't know how much I appreciate it~ ;)
I've really enjoyed charting this month and getting to know all this... Hub is really excited about us having NFP in practice... so that if we should ever need BC for ANY reason at all, I'll know how. I plan on doing this from now on... so it's been really helpful to get feedback from an "old pro" like you!! Thanks for your patience, kindness and help!
