View Full Version : TUES..back from hospital!
1Cor13 11-05-2006, 01:10 AM Well its about 1:30am sun morning. my water broke at midnight. in bed, Boy was it alot!!! so I am not even having any crmaps or anything, well slight ones. probably need the drip, on my way to hospital. had to sit in the tub for a while, lots of fluid...
Please pray for me and baby! For some reason when my water broke I got really nervous and the shakes. thinking something was going to happen to me or the baby. I know this is God timing, thanking him I am early ...12days before due date. hopefully baby comes soon. thinking about pain again..lol :?
Fluid was clear. so that is good
ok I will post in 2 days or hubby will if he can figure this out! hehehe
Oh good luck!!! I hope all goes really well. The same thing happened to me. Waters broke - TON OF FLUID. Couldn't get up or anything. It was just neverending. And I had the same... mild contractions that weren't painful. I had to have a drip.
Can't wait to hear of babys arrival! :D

1Cor13 11-07-2006, 03:09 PM Well its tues and I am back. I could of stayed till wed, but needed to get home, cant rest in hospital...
so water broke midnight sat. went to hospital around 2-3am. They put me a room and told me to rest, cause the dr would not be in till 7am. So the dr gets there and nurse tells him about me , and he never came to see me or check me till 1pm in the afternoon SUN. I WAS SO ANNOYED!
Their are 5 OBGYNs, you dont always get the one you have been seeing ,if he is not on call. I go the one that thinks he all high and mighty and keeps you waiting and is not the nicest, but at least he was only on call till 6pm sun.
So he FINALLY comes and sees me, he checks me and i am only 1-2 cm dia. and not even effaced ..He even questioned weather my fluids really broke, as it could of been urine!!! :x I kept telling him how much it was.. he finally agreed that my water had broken.. so he ordered the drip. he said i could go a while without it to see if i went into labor on my own, but it had been 13hrs since fluid broke and no sign, just the odd contrax. and given my history, i knew i needed the drip.
So that got started at 1:30 or so. and right away got contraxs. by 3-4pm, they were getting bad, I was still handling it but gettting crabby. By 6pm, I was feeling like I did with the pain with dd and thought I would of been 6-7 cm.. the nurse checked me and I was only 3cm and now 50 % effaced. I was getting upset and decided i needed an epi, even though i had had horrible times with them, getting in.. the high mighty dr ordered it and left ( shift change )
So I got the epi and it went great the dr that did it, was SO NICE and it went in great, and i did not really feel it. and it worked really well.
so then i was kept in bed... that was around almost 7pm, I had a nap for an hour or so.
around 10pm I started get the feeling i had to push, but it was light so i never thought nothing of it.
about 10:30 pm I had a pain in my chest that was like a gallbladder pain, and it would not go away, it was very annoying and i told dh to get the nurse to help me sit up, switch sides. , she comes in and says we might as well check you and then she said I was at 10 cm and ready to push.
this was 10:35pm. she told me to push once to see if baby would come down, so i did and she started to see the head, so they called the dr and told me I had to wait till he got there, (lives a block away) I gave another push and her head started to crown. they told me to stop pushing, I was like "What"?? its not really something you can stop and wait. well the baby kicked me twice and actually pushed herself out with the next contrax, i did nothing. she just slip right out,.. the nurse delivered her. that was 10:43pm. it was the fastest delivery I had ever had. ds was almost 3hrs, dd was 40mins
from the time they told me I was dia, to her being born it was 8mins.
SO
McKenna Ireland was born Sun, nov 5th at 10:43pm, weighing 7lbs 13oz, and 20 1/4 inches long.
the dr came in 5minutes later. he was really nice and I was glad for the dr change, even if he only got to deliver the placenta..lol
So was so small, fo me anyways, that is why she slipped out so fast. my others were 8lbs 6oz and 9lbs 3oz...
I thought she would of been over 8lbs since dr said she was 7lbs 2 oz at 36 wks. and she was born at
38wks 2 days. 12 days early.
right after she was born she was having breathing problems, turning purple, but she just need oxgyen. and her apgar scores were great 8 and 9. so she was fine.
I have only had about 7hrs sleep since midnight sat, so I am very tired and having trouble breastfeeding , getting a good latch. milk takes like 4-5 days for me to come in, so suppl a bit.
feeling very overwhelmed, kids are totally acting up and my patience is not great. so we just have to adjust.
I will post a pic later when I get a min
thanks for all the prayers.
Aalena 11-07-2006, 03:21 PM Congratulations! I'm so happy that everything went well - well at least you're all healthy and home now! I can't wait to see pictures. Will keep you in my prayers. Now get some rest... what you can.
Congratulations! I can't wait to see a pic. And that was a fast delivery! Sounds like we both have fast deliveries. Abbys was 14 minutes. And I'm pretty sure Sophies was faster. I wasn't looking at the clock though since I was pretty out of it from all the gas LOL
jengrant 11-07-2006, 04:32 PM Congratulations!!! :D
[balloonsgalore] Congratulations!
Well, so much for due dates, eh? Not that I was actually expecting to give birth b4 you, since this is my first and the baby is pretty small.
Congratulations! Praying you get some rest and things settle down quickly for you :D
Congratulations  :D
And don't worry you will all adjust in time (shouldn't take that long) - I am not even sure if my twins remember what it was like with only the two of them around. Everyone just needs to get the swing of the new family dynamics.
Do you have any help?

LOL you should of seen Abby today Em. She was sulking because I was feeding Sophie and she wanted me to put a couple of pieces of Duplo Lego together for her when she knows full well how to do it LOL I told her I couldn't do it right then because I was feeding Sophie and she was standing there with her head down looking very sad like she was going to cry :( However, she just LOVES Sophie. It's just a total change for them from being an only child to having to share mummy.
buttercup_97140 11-08-2006, 02:53 AM Praise the Lord, he is so good....see, he heard your cries and answered your prayers about delivering early, and even gave you a baby that was a nice small size! What a true blessing from the Lord! I pray you get some sleep and that your kiddos will soon adapt to the new family size.
I can't wait to see a pic!! I bet she's so cute!!
