well now that i know i'm pregnant..all of a sudden within two days my clothes dont fit..so is it cause i actually gained weight or is it my mind playing tricks on me? its pretty funny too cause i caught myself already waddling..and every morning I wake up to expect me to be worshipping the prorcelain gods w/ daily chunks of sacrifices..so yeah...i think it may just be me being a bit chunky before i found out and my clothes already fitting snudge to begin with..but hey its not everyday u can blame ur chubbyness on a baby..

My clothes did that too. It was like, the stick got two lines, two days later, all my body weight shifted and my jeans had to be put up. It has been five weeks post delivery, and my jeans are still put up.....but that's a whole other issue. I did retain a whole lot of water, similar to the monthly cycle thing at first (and then at the end since it was in the middle of the hottest summer in fifty years around here).
I have known other people like this too. Just utter the word pregnant to them and they start to blow up like a balloon.
Enjoy this time of getting maternity clothes. You can find good sales and great prices at the Salvation Army, Goodwill and DAV Thrift stores. And don't believe them when they tell you to buy the same size you would wear for your non-pregnant state. I outgrew quite a bit of my clothes the last three months. Just get a few things in the begining that fit so that way you aren't stuck with a bunch of clothes you can't wear later on. And I made great use of my husband's jeans for a while and I wore his T shirts when I started getting bigger. His clothing can be a great option for you if you have to. Besides, I found men's T shirts are way more roomy and comfy than women's. I still get into trouble for stealing his stuff to wear around the house with my jammy pants....

I went through the same thing, as soon as I found out I was pg, my clothes got smaller and all of a sudden everything made me nauseas(sp?). It's kinda funny how that happens huh?!
Did you save your maternity clothes from the last time you were pg Lea? That's what I did, so the next time around I wouldn't have to buy maternity clothes, but you know what?...They have some really cute maternity clothes out now! And it is fun to shop for maternity clothes!! :P
Crystal, ITA with you, men's clothes are sooo much more comfy than women's clothes are! I wore my DH's T-shirts when I was pg. too.

LOL! I started wearing my pregnancy clothes a lot sooner during my second pregnancy as well. Unfortuantely my maternity clothes from my first pregnancy didn't fit (was smaller this time around) and i had to get new ones altogether (fun for me but probably not so fun for dh's wallet  ).

Oh yeah, you round out MUCH quicker with number two! Plus, it's not actually baby this early on, but your muscles and tendons being so much looser and stretchable and your bowels and organs distending some and making room for the growing uterus! It's normal! Just roll with it! LOL

well, I can kinda understand that...only my problem wasn't in what I was able to wear...like, the day after I found out...I started having pretty bad morning sickness...all.....day.....long! So I can understand the whole wondering if your mind is playing tricks on you kind of a thing...*shrug* who knows?
