Just wondering if any of you have any advice for when milk comes in fully. My breasts are already starting to get really sore and full - and I think that, like last time, I will have far too much milk. I remember really struggling last time with the pain and the fullness (leading to great difficulties getting my son to latch on for a while). I don't have a breast pump - last time I used hot showers, warm wet flannels and expressed by hand when necessary.

All great ideas and let baby nurse as much as possible! :D

I used a silicone nipple when I was really engorged. It gave baby something to latch on to since my nipples were pretty much flat. Medela makes one and Target sells them. As soon as the engorgement went away I stopped using it. My kids never had any trouble being confused by it.
Let me know if you'd like a breast pump. I know they don't recommend selling them/giving them away because they are personal use items like toothbrushes, but I have two now and don't need the Medela one.
I can either drive over to you and drop it in or I can post it. :)

Definitely nurse the baby a lot! That worked for me.

Another thing that works to reduce milk supply is cabbage leaves. You put a fresh leaf into your bra and change it when it gets wilted. Just be careful because you don't want to confuse your body into thinking you don't need your milk.
I would encourage you to do an internet search on the cabbage leaves first to make sure you use it the right amt of time.
I hope you get some relief soon!!

Thanks for all your advice and thanks for your kind offer Renee - the problem now seems to be settling down withut needing to express. I am wondering whether it is heaps better this time because Jenna feeds more frequently than Joshua did or because my body knows better what to do second time around.
I'm glad it's settled down for you now. :)
