I received a copy of this book in my last Bible study. I haven't started it yet, but I am anxious to. It is totally fitting to what God is teaching me in my life. Through an experience with my family recently God has really impressed upon my heart that prayer isn't just a good thing to do or something that gives us credit with God, but it is essential and necessary as we are in a spiritual warfare with our families. We are at war with the enemy and he looks to prowl on our sweet babies, children and husbands and we are to stand in the gap for them. I have really be hit with the verse in Thessalonians, "Pray without ceasing." I really want to have an all day long conversation with God as well as a prayer time. He is always there whether we are knee deep in laundry, changing a dirty diaper, or cooking dinner. He is so pleased in those times for us to give Him a call.
I just wanted to share this lesson I have been learning with you mommies. God bless you and your families.
A friend gave me a copy of The Power of a Praying Wife 7 or 8 yrs ago, when I didn't even know my DH existed. By faith I started praying for whoever it was God had for me.
Without going into details, I can tell you that at the time, he was going through some stuff which the prayers addressed, and by the time he got to me, the issues were history! Prayer works, and God is faithful! :D
