This morning DS was talking to me when I noticed he had some kind of string burn around half his neck (as in a string had been tied around his neck kind of mark). I said to him "What happened to your neck?" and he just looked at me blankly and I said "Show me where you were when you hurt it?" He appeared to have no idea at all. Then made up some story about how he put his head in the clothes dryer LOL.
Anyway - is it normal for him not to remember hurting himself? He certainly never came crying to me with any kind of accident in the past few days ???
He is four in December....

With boys especially it is entirely possible. He might have a high threshold for pain. I have two like that! One played an entire football game with a broken arm! And they are so busy..he literally might not have registered it!
I don't like that it might have been something around his neck. I would consider talking to him about how important it is NOT to put things around your neck or let anyone else do that! But my boys will have HUGE bruises and have no idea how they got it! And to be honest with all the activity around here, who could figure it out! LOL!
I TA I have even removed their skipping ropes and scarves from their room if they have begun to play games involving putting stuff around the neck with HEAPS of expaination as to why.
I found his kite in the yard so I am guessing it was the kite and he got tangled in it. I cut the string and threw it out. The kite is usually up high for that reason so I am thinking it fell down from the closet.
It really scared me
