So there is one sippy cup that I have tried and tried and can't get the top off..So dh tried and can't get it off either....

So any ideas to get it off? its on there pretty tight and I've tried to use a knife just under the lid to see if it would loosen...no luck..

Its not a big deal but I would hate for a cup to go in the trash in good condition..:)

maybe try running hot water over the edges of the lid and try again? Hope you get it off.

I'd probably try soaking the whole thing in hot water for awhile to try to warm it up and loosen whatever's stuck.

However, if it wasn't water that's in the cup, I'd seriously consider tossing it if it were me...I know...I'm horrible[sadashamed] It's just that the longer it goes without being able to be taken apart and cleaned, the grosser it's going to get inside....and plastic takes on odors really easily that don't easily wash off...like the scent of spoiled milk...ask me how I know this.... I'm a weanie.... :lol

Uh, I guess I'm not as good I should be...if it was giving me THAT much trouble, that sucker would be trashed! LOL...I wouldn't want to deal with it over and over again, life is too short! ;-)

...if you are terribly attached though...banging the edge of the lid against a solid surface gently, warm water with a little Dawn to grease it up a little while soaking, a plastic/rubber lid opener to grip and turn with, a vice to hold the lid while turning the cup (ask your hubby for this tool from his toolbox!)

Yeah I'd try the hot water soak. Shoot....boil some water then stick the lid in for a few, handle with a towel as you try to remove the lid from the cup.

Just to note. if it is stinky you can wash it and then soak it in a full sink of hot water with a little bit of clorax. read directions as to how much

Yay!! Well the cup was in our cupboard (we normally put the lids on them after they are washed because we tended to misplace the lid or nozzle).. I tried the hot water and soap under the lid..And after drying it off I was able to slide it off with ease..

Yay!! Thanks ...I think I'll tease my dh alittle when he gets home that I'm stronger than him...I'll eventually tell him your guys little trick..haha..
