I got the stomach flu this weekend and I haven't been able to eat ANYTHING since Friday night. I am drinking lots of gatorade but I am pretty sure my supply is down. Is there anything I can do? I really don't want to supplement with a bottle...

It's probably due to dehydration.. so drink lots and lots of water. If you know your plenty hydrated and your supply is still low you can try an herbal supplement such as fenugreek or Mother's Milk Tea. And most importantly remember your breast work on supply and demand so nurse as often as possible. Hope your feeling better. :D

ditto what Ashlee said (although I didn't know about the supplements!) I was dreadfully sick once when I was bf'ing dd, and I was afraid of the same thing...but ultimately we both did fine, and my supply picked up again. Feel better soon! :D

Yep yep.

Your body will continue to produce for that baby just as long as that baby is coming to the breast frequently. Keep yourself hydrated!!
And try the fenugreek or mother's milk tea if it really looks like things are suffering.

Other things that help are malt, hops, alfalfa, and blessed thistle (works best with fenugreek). Eating oatmeal can help too...if you can keep it down!

Like the others said, keep nursing, even if you don't think baby is getting much, it will help! You could try pumping after nursing if you are super way concerned too!
