had the pre-op appt today with my doctor and things are progressing. she said that i could very well go into labor this weekend and not make it to tuesday morning. she's not so concerned about going into labor as in the pushing. so there isn't a lot of danger unless i feel the need to push. i've started to dilate and i've had contractions for 3 days now.. so we'll see how it goes!

please pray for our dd.. she just turned three on the 24th, and although she is excited for her new baby sister, i think she's starting to realize that things are changing. she's started not sleeping through the night in the last week, and i've always been so proud that she was an excellent sleeper.. and now we're having problems at nap time too. lots of tears, lots of 'needs,' and lots of nightmares and fears at nighttime. *sigh*

overall, we are feeling much more relaxed now that the pre-ops with both my doctor and the hospital are done. all the paperwork is done, and all we need to focus on now is our family and the new addition :) i feel like i can finally start getting happy for tuesday. the lord is so good.

Oooh, I'll bet that you're so excited to meet your precious baby girl! Praying for a safe and healthy delivery.

And I think that you'll be alright on the labor too, if your labor didn't go fast last time. Also, I read somewhere that labor is good for babies, because it helps them to breathe better once they're born. So everytime you have a contraction, you can know that you are helping your baby. :)

so the excitement reached a new level this morning.. contractions continue AND i lost the mucous plug (sp?).. so i'm guessing i'm pretty well effaced.. it was a LOT! gross, i know, but i never lost it with my first daughter (until the nurses broke my water and such). now i'm just waiting to see if these contractions get closer together.

Sounds like things are getting very close.................how exciting! I was actually in the early stages of labor with my 2nd child on the day I was scheduled to have a c-section. Keep us updated and we will be praying for you this w/end................Blessings to you
