Ruth... where are ya gal? I need the gal with all the answers~ ::snort:: I skipped a period this month... I have had a 38 day cycle and this month it's a no show. I took a pregnancy test JIC and had a BFN, which I wasn't surprised with. So... I'm just clueless... I knew my period *could* go MIA because I'm still full time nursing, I just didn't expect it to. Sound pretty normal?

Eliya is six months now, full time nursing, no longer co-sleeping (her pref) but waking every few hours to nurse still... no solids, no bottles... so I *Assume* this kind of thing is normal. I do notice that I'm having my typical cramping and pain in my sides (ovaries) as I do with AF, though. Anybody have this happen to them?

TIA!

Sounds pretty normal to me! The only way that you could determine whether you are ovulating or not, is by charting CM and temps, but my guess is that you're not ovulating. With Eliya nursing that much, it's very likely that your cycles are still being affected by it.

so can I jump in your boat Jen? I'm a little nervous because I am 2 days late. I know I o'd according to cm... I'm usually on a 28 day cycle even with nursing full time. I haven't taken a hpt. but I needed to get it out in the open since i'm a little nervous. Maybe if Jen misses then I miss????

POAS woman!!!

Yes these pp periods are crazy. I'm now on cd 28 and think I just ovulated yesterday or today according to cm. I've never had a cycle last so long. Please pray that I have a normal lutuel phase. Would be highly annoying if I had another short luteul phase. Micah has cut down the night feeds and has only been feeding twice during the night, woohoo! Anyway, I'm done rambling.

Well dh begged me last night to poas! To be honest I was very very nervous. we're not trying but not totally preventing. I was suprised by how mixed my feelings were. I would be so happy if I was pregnant because I know that it is not an easy thing to acheive., but at the same time I want to enjoy the joy's of my son. I want to get to know him and see him and Abby become buddies.
So I was very nervous. I know God has His perfect Will. But I had a BFN. dh was some what disappointed. I was okay with it.

Just wanted to gently remind you that a woman can have a CM buildup with no ovulation. A raised temperature pattern is generally a better indication that you have ovulated and gives you a guide as to whether you can be pregnant or not, as it's pretty hard to get pregnant with no ovulation. I know that it can be hard to temp though, when you have a young baby, especially if your sleep schedule isn't yet consistent. (Don't know if that's the case for you or not) Even if your sleep schedule isn't 100% consistent it can still work. I did temping when my daughter was still waking up at night, and my temps were clear and I had clear thermal shifts. The temping was SO helpful, because then if DH and I tried during the cycle, I knew when to POAS based on when I O'ed.

If you don't feel ready to TTC just yet, there are some great options for NFP classes. You can search http://www.ccli.org for local teachers. If there are none in your area, you can take correspondence classes too.

Good luck!

Just dittoing what I told Esther, if you want to know for sure if you O'ed each month, temps are a pretty good bet. Saves money on pregnancy tests if you know that you haven't O'ed! :)
