I am officially full term! Yay! [clapping] (Although my midwife says my baby needs to do some more growing, and I have a feeling I'll be about a week late. Still, it's fun to be able to say it. :D )

View Full Version : I can finally say... EmJo 10-26-2006, 10:39 AM I am officially full term! Yay! [clapping] (Although my midwife says my baby needs to do some more growing, and I have a feeling I'll be about a week late. Still, it's fun to be able to say it. :D ) 1Cor13 10-26-2006, 11:14 AM I'll join you!! :D I am 37 wks too, and wish this baby would come... but i think 'she' will be late also. already about 8lbs.. so come out baby!!!! lol :D Not much longer for us now... luvmy4sons 10-26-2006, 12:53 PM Just a reminder...babies add most of their brain cells in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy! So hang in there ladies! LOL! luvmy4sons 10-26-2006, 01:40 PM LOL! [rofl] I don't know about that! I am not sure what studies if any have been done on that. Babies know that they will lose a lot of brain cells in labor and build up an extra supply in the last 4 weeks. I have often wondered if that is why that so many preemies are behind for awhile, besides their other issues. Thing is there is a massive brain cell death at the age of 3 and again around 7. We just don't need all those brain cells( we ony use 10% as it is remember?) But that is why so many genius people who are the tops in their field started before the age of three doing something. The potential for learning before 3 is HUGE! Tiger started golfing at 2 and Jimmy Connors started playing tennis at 2. Mozhart was compsing around 3. But I digress from the original post! Yes...term is 37 weeks, but yes, there is still a lot of growing to do and I just wanted to help those tired pregnant moms to hold on a little longer! LOL! [rofl] magk8ball 10-26-2006, 03:33 PM congratulations to another full-termer.. only a few days left for us (scheduled for oct. 31st!). hang in there! Beck 10-27-2006, 02:55 PM Isn't that such a relief??? Congrats and I hope the remaining time flies by for you guys! buttercup_97140 10-29-2006, 11:40 PM Yeah!! I knew it was a relief when I reached 35 weeks because then I could legally have my baby at home....but she must be on her way to extra smart-dom because she was a week late too! LOL!! I pray you all have a wonder last few weeks...I loved being pregnant those last few weeks....I knew our time was near, so I rejoiced in the time the Lord gave us together!! Amber |
